Mexico City part 1

Llegamos el Jueves por la noche por Vivaerobus, una excelente opción de bajo costo, realmente barata, obviamente no te da kilómetros por viajar con ellos, los asientos no se pueden hacer para atrás y los alimentos los cobran. Pero me ahorré un 80% comparado con Aeroméxico o Mexicana y 6 horas en camión. También llegué a un hotel fabuloso, el Hotel Gillow, ubicado en el corazón del centro histórico a dos cuadras del zócalo y también no pueden creer lo barato de las tarifas. Muy limpio y realmente cómodo. Ampliamente recomendable.

Hello Everyone!!! Here are the pics from my little weekend trip to Mexico City, we arrived on Thursday night and we found a gorgeous cheap hotel in Mexico City's historic center. It was a great place to stay because the views and the buildings around the hotel were amazing. The hotel name is Hotel Gillow, in case one day you come to visit this wonderful city.

Dreaming of Summer days...

Quiero vacaciones!!! sueño con ir a la playa, ya no aguanto el calor en la zona industrial, quiero ponerme mi traje de baño y estar acostada frente al mar... pero mientras eso sucede tendré que soñar solamente... del verano me encantan los vestidos, últimamente son un must y la verdad es que nos vemos super femeninas... no se que opinen los caballeros... pero creo que hay que guardar un poco los jeans este verano y sacar los vestidos!!

I need Vacations!!! I dream every day of the beach, I want to be in my swimming suit by the sea! Work has been so hard these months I'm really hoping to get some long days of relax. From Summer I love dresses, they make us look very feminin... I think the gentlemen will agree with me... I think this Summer we should keep the jeans in the closet and take out our pretty dresses!!!

VAMOS MEXICO!!!!

Una entrada programada para recordarles que hoy empieza el mundial!!! un evento que solo podemos ver cada 4 años y una fiesta incoparable donde todos los países se vuelven hermanos y amigos!!! Yo creo que va a ganar Holanda o España!!! y México va a llegar al 5to partido!!! ya veremos! nos vemos el Lunes con la reseña completa!! que pasen un muy feliz fin de semana frente a la TV viendo partidos de fut!

Today starts the World Cup!!! Every 4 years we can watch a world event like this so I will not miss it! I think Holland or Spain will win the Cup and I believe Mexico will be reaching the 5th match!! We'll see!! Have a great Weekend and see ya on Monday!

Fin de Semana en el DF! Weekend in Mexico City!

Pues me voy por mi mamá que llega el Viernes al DF! andaba en Europa y voy a recibirla, además mi mejor amiga está a punto de tener a su bebé y tmb la voy a visitar, claro que se me van a atravesar por ahí los murales de Diego Rivera en el Palacio Nacional, El Museo Nacional de Arte, La Torre Latino y si me da tiempo me doy una vuelta por la Condesa y Polanco. Mi esposo y yo vamos un poco de Mochilazo, ya les contaré a mi regreso! Además no se los voy a negar!!! Estamos muy emocionados con el partido Mexico Vs Sudáfrica!!! ¿Cuáles son sus pronósticos? Yo creo que empatamos... 2-2... En el Zócalo van a instalar 1 de las 6 pantallas de la FIFA solamente va a haber en Berlín, París, Roma, Rio de Janeiro, Sydney y Cd. de México!

I'm going to Mexico City to pick up my Mom that arrives from Europe this Friday! and also I will visit my Best Friend because she is having her first baby!! maybe I'll go around and visit some interesting things in the city as well. I will show you pics when I come back! By the way we will watch the soccer match between Mexico and South Africa! Its going to be the opening match of the Worldcup! Hope we won!!! The FIFA FAN FEST will be in Mexico City with big TV Screens for the people to watch their team! only in 6 cities in the world have install these Screens: Rome, Paris, Berlin, Rio de Janeiro, Sydney and Mexico City!!!

Ya vi la peli! y me gustó... si son fans de la serie les va a gustar, está mucho más chistosa que la 1, y bueno la ropa es muy linda... algunas cosillas creo que exageraron pero en general se pasa un rato agradable. Vayan con amigas porque sus novios o maridos no lo van a disfrutar igual jajaja!!! que tengan un excelente inicio de semana!

I saw the movie! and I liked it very much... if you liked the series then you will like the movie, I thought it was funnier than the first one and of course the clothes are amazing... some things were a little too much but you still will have a good time. Go with your girlfriends! it's definetely a girl movie! Have a great week!

Hoy llegó la pelicula!!! Voy a ir a verla por supuestisisimo aunque digan lo que digan las críticas yo soy fan de la serie y quiero ver ropa linda y locaciones fabulosas!!!

The movie arrived this weekend to theaters! Of course I will go see it... despite all the critics I'm fan of the most popular new york girls and I want to see cute clothes and amazing locations!!

Manta para el calor! Manta for the hot days!!

La manta es un tipo de tela de algodón muy común en las regiones calurosas de latinoamérica. Es fresca, generalmente de color cremita o blanco y es ideal para los días en que el sol es muy fuerte. En México su uso es muy difundido, muchas marcas la comercializan con diseños modernos como Takasami una empresa de Guadalajara que estuvieron en la Expo mundial en China que acaba de pasar y fueron un éxito. Y claro las mujeres indígenas de muchas zonas del país tienen siglos utilizandola por cierto con unos bordados hermosísimos. Este vestidido me lo encontré guardado, hace mucho que lo compré pero no me lo había puesto nuuunca y ahora se volverá un must en mi closet para el verano. Soy maaaalaaa posando para las fotos, así que no se fijen eeeh.

Manta is a type of cotton fabric that is very common in the hot regions of Latinamerica. It's very fresh, generally white or beige, it's perfect for the hot sunny days. In Mexico is very used, modern style clothes like Takasami are sold in beautiful stores but also the ethnic women that have lived in this territory for centuries use this fabric in their clothes with beautiful patterns. I had this dress in my closet but have never use it. I think this summer will become a must for me.

Hola!! que tal su fin de semana? yo disfruté mucho a mi papá y descansé creo que de más... el domingo no salí de la casa en todo el día y otra vez ví maratón de películas que después les paso el dato. Bueno quiero presentarles a Alfonsina, una periquita de 2 años que estaba concursando para La Vuelta al Mundo, un grupo en Flickr que cada mes ponen un tema en específico para que personas de todo el mundo tomen fotos. En Mayo se tenían que fotografíar animales así que yo le tome una fotito a Alfonsina pero desgraciadamente no quedó en el collage, ni modo. La historia es que primero me la habían regalado a mí los abuelos de mi esposo, pero como estoy todo el día fuera de casa no podía cuidarla bien así que se la regalé a mi cuñada... la cual la ha cuidado de maravilla y la quiere muchísimo. La periquita primero había tenido una confusión de sexo cuando yo erroneamente la había llamado Poncio, pero aclarado el punto ahora vive muy feliz en el jardín de mis suegros donde no la tienen encerrada en una jaula, solo entra en ella para dormir y si no la meten a las 7 pm se enoja muchísimo... ya dice Raquel, Periquillo, Burro y Eeeeey. Además toca la puerta como persona!!! es un encanto y se las quiero presentar. Ustedes tienen mascotas??

Hello everyone!! I want to introduce you to Alfonsina, a lovely parakeet that was trying to be at the monthly collage of a group on Flickr called La Vuelta al Mundo (Around the World) which asks their members to take picture of an specific subject every month. On May we had to take pictures of animals so I took a picture of Alfonsina, they dindn't pick the picture for the collage but I took this nice picture of her, she is a girl. She was a gift I received two years ago, but I'm never at home so I wasn't taking good care of it, so I decided to give it to my sister in law which cares a lot of the parakeet and she loves the little animal very much. Alfonsina is very intelligent and talks like 4 words all of them in spanish. She lives free in my sister in law garden, and only enters the cage to sleep. If she is not in her cage at 7 pm she gets very angry. She is a lovely parakeet and I wanted to introduce it to you. Do you have animals at home?

Holaaa!!! gracias por todos sus consejos sobre mi cabello, en verdad los tomaré en cuenta cuando por fin me decida a hacerme un corte en forma... por lo pronto les muestro estas fotitos que tomé el fin cuando fuimos a dar la vuelta a la Laguna de Chapala... las arreglé en Flickr. La primera foto me encantó porque eso ya no se vé en las ciudades grandes. En los pueblos las personas se reúnen en la plaza central, generalmente donde están la iglesia y el palacio municipal a pasar la tarde, con una tranquilidad increíble.

Hello Everyone!!! thanks for all your advices about my haircut, I appreciate them very much. I'm showing you some pictures of the weekend. We went to a lake called Chapala and I took this pictures. The first one si such a common scene on Mexico's little towns. People that spend the afternoon after theiy have work the hole day and they just sit down and talk. It was such a quiet relaxing moment to observe them.

Perlas en Verano... Pearls in Summer...

Pues sigue haciendo mucho calor, y los fines de semana es cuando opto por outfits frescos porque entre semana en mi oficina no hace tanto calor y ahí estoy metida horario corrido. Pero los fines el solo hecho de entrar al carro ya hace que me derrita. No se que hacer con mi cabello, ya lo tengo demasiado largo y sin ningún corte. No me animo a cortarlo chiquito pero soy floja para arreglarmelo todas las mañanas... Consejos!!!!

It's soo hot that on the weekends I really have to dress very relaxed, my office is always fresh in the week, but on the weekends when you get on your car, you can reach very high temperatures! Anyway... I don't know what to do with my hair, It's very long, but without any shape. I don't want to cut it too small but I want it to look better without much effort , Please Advice!!!

Lunes de flojera... Lazy Monday

Descansé mucho todo el fin, el sábado fuimos a dar una vuelta a la laguna de Chapala pero solo a comer, no tomé muchas fotos que valieran la pena, pero eso sí vi 3 pelis el domingo, bastante domingueras (osea sin mucho chiste pero que te entretienen). No las recomiendo porque igual no les gustan pero si sirven para pasar una tarde de flojera en casa sin salir para nada ;)
