This weekend my husband and I left the noise and traffic from the city and went to the mountain to spend Saturday and Sunday. We went to a Magic Town called TAPALPA. The Magic Towns are a Government Turistic Program to promote small beutiful towns which have a lot of history or natural landscapes and usually they are full of little hotels or luxurious spas. This town we went is at the top of a mountain and its only 140 kms far from Guadalajara. We only spent 1400 pesos that's 120 USD in hotel, food, gas... it's a wonderful place to spend a couple of days. You can practice extreme sports and enjoy nature. So this week I will show you all the pretty photos I took this weekend.
TAPALPA significa "Lugar de tierra de Color" o "Tierra de Colores", su ecosistema es mayormente boscoso así que llueve todo el año y hace un poco de frío.
TAPALPA means "Land of Colors", the landscape is forest, it rains mostly all year and its always a little bit cold.

Me encantaron los colores y como lo tenían decorado :)
I love the colors!!!
Me gustó mucho tu reportaje de Tapalpa, debemos acostumbrarnos a visitar lugares de México, puesto que a veces los extranjeros conocen más que nosotros mismo de nuestar cultura.

I enjoyed the photos and the commentary so much that I told my husband I must see this little town! We are traveling in our RV, we are from England, and I love Mexico. Right now we are staying in Jocotepic, and we spent two days in Tapalpa....so beautiful, so peaceful, such nice people. We stayed in the Pousada Hacienda, it was only 400 pesos and half a block from the square. Thank you for your blog! Now I want to go to Mazamitla too!
